Choosing a display for your golf simulator is a bigger decision than it looks. Unlike a consumer TV, the right panel has to handle a fast-moving ball graphic at close range, perform in a light-controlled room, and survive years of daily use. Get it wrong and you're either squinting at a washed-out image or replacing a budget panel in 18 months.

Every product on this page is Optoma commercial-grade — engineered for demanding, high-use environments. The same qualities that matter in a simulator — brightness, durability, image fidelity — make these panels equally capable wherever serious performance is required.

What Makes a Great Simulator Display

Brightness

400+ nits for ambient light. Commercial panels deliver where consumer TVs fade.

Build Quality

Commercial panels run 24/7. Metal chassis, 3–5 year warranties, no backlight bleed.

Response Time

Fast panel response keeps ball flight crisp. No motion blur on impact.

Size vs Room

86" is the sweet spot for most bays. Wider rooms suit 98" or larger.

Tier 3

dvLED — Direct-View LED

COB LED · Seamless · 135" or 163" · From $44,999

dvLED is a different category entirely. Where flat panels have a backlight, direct-view LED produces light at pixel level — delivering contrast, brightness, and scale that no flat panel can reach. Originally developed for professional venues, stadiums, and command centers, the FHDC series puts that technology into a self-contained all-in-one unit. For a simulator, it means a screen that disappears into the wall and an image that looks like the course is right in front of you.

$44,999

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a regular TV for my golf simulator?

You can, but consumer TVs aren't built for sustained brightness, close viewing distances, or hours of daily use. Commercial panels are rated for 24/7 operation and won't degrade the same way. The price difference is real — but so is the longevity gap.

What size display do I need?

86" is the most common choice for standard simulator bays (roughly 10–12ft wide). If your space is tighter, 65" or 75" work well. For wider rooms or commercial setups, 98" or dvLED gives you the scale to match.

Do I need an interactive touch display?

Not necessarily. The N-series panels work perfectly with simulator software via HDMI. The RK-series makes sense if you want to navigate the interface directly on screen, or if the space serves other purposes where touch interactivity adds value.

What's the difference between flat panel and dvLED?

Flat panels use an LCD with a backlight — excellent 4K image quality, proven technology. dvLED produces light at the pixel level with no backlight, delivering dramatically higher brightness and contrast at scales no flat panel can match. It's a step-change in both technology and price.

Is wall mounting included?

All panels are VESA compatible. Mounting hardware details are on each product page. Contact us if you need guidance on installation for your specific bay setup.
