Choose the launch monitor around the room and how you play.
The right launch monitor is not simply the one with the longest specification sheet. Start with placement and room constraints, then compare tracking technology, data depth, handedness, software compatibility and budget.

Which launch-monitor route fits your setup?
Floor or portable
Best when the room is shared, the monitor may travel, or you want to avoid permanent ceiling installation.
Overhead camera
Keeps the hitting area clear and suits permanent rooms where ceiling height and mounting position are already planned.
Professional tracking
Prioritise repeatability, data depth, left/right-handed workflow and long-session reliability over portability.

We stock launch monitors from six brands across a wide price range. The right one depends on your installation type (portable, ground mount, or ceiling), your budget, and the level of data accuracy you need. This guide covers all of them honestly.
What to Look For in a Launch Monitor
Technology
Radar tracks ball flight through air. Camera captures impact at thousands of frames per second. Both work, cameras tend to be more precise indoors.
Mount Type
Portable units travel with you. Ground mounts sit beside the hitting zone. Ceiling mounts look down on impact, the most accurate, least obtrusive option.
Data Points
Entry-level tracks 8–12 parameters. Premium units track 20+ including spin axis, dynamic loft, and smash factor.
Software
Check which simulator software each unit supports, E6, GSPro, Creative Golf, TGC2019. Compatibility varies significantly by brand.

What's the difference between radar and camera launch monitors?
Radar tracks the ball through the air using Doppler technology, it works outdoors but can struggle indoors with short ball flight. Camera-based units capture the ball and club at impact using high-speed frames, which is more accurate for indoor simulator use where the ball doesn't travel far. Hybrid units combine both.
Do I need a ceiling mount or can I use a ground mount?
Both work well. Ceiling mounts (overhead units) give you the most accurate data and the cleanest bay layout, the unit is out of the way and there's nothing on the floor near the hitting zone. Ground mounts are the right choice if your ceiling doesn't allow for overhead installation, or if you're renting and can't modify the space.
What simulator software do these units support?
It varies by brand. Most units in our range support E6 Connect and GSPro, the two most popular simulator platforms. Uneekor also supports TGC2019 and Creative Golf 3D. Check the individual product page for the full software compatibility list before purchasing.
Do I need to use marked balls?
Many camera-based units work with any ball, no marking required. Some units offer optional marked ball systems for enhanced club data capture. The product descriptions specify whether ball marking is needed or optional.
How high does my ceiling need to be for an overhead unit?
Most overhead launch monitors require a minimum ceiling height of 9–10 feet, with 10ft being the most common recommendation. The unit typically mounts 9–10ft above the floor, directly over or just behind the hitting position. Check the individual product specs for the exact requirements.
