Key Features
-
Replaceable strip system — swap the worn hitting zone without replacing the entire HotShot mat base, cutting long-term turf replacement cost.
-
30" x 12" x 1¾" strip — sized to drop directly into Carl's Place HotShot base mats (4'x5', 4'x9', 5'x8', 6'x10').
-
Three turf options — Standard nylon turf with three pre-punched tee holes, Foam Divot for joint-friendly repetition, or Gel Divot for a fairway-realistic feel.
-
1¾" multi-layer cushion base — absorbs impact on full-speed swings, reducing strain on wrists, elbows, and shoulders during high-volume sessions.
-
Pre-punched tee holes — accepts real wood or rubber tees on the Standard strip, so range-style tee shots feel closer to real turf.
-
Commercial-grade durability — built for the repetition of daily simulator use, not just occasional weekend practice.
-
Designed and manufactured in the USA — made in Milton, Wisconsin, with consistent QC across production runs.

What's Included
- 1x HotShot Hitting Strip (30" x 12" x 1¾") in the turf type selected — Standard, Foam Divot, or Gel Divot
- Tee holes pre-punched (Standard strip only) — no cutting or drilling required
- Care and replacement instructions
Note: this listing is the replacement hitting strip only. It requires an existing Carl's Place HotShot base mat to install into — the base mat is sold separately.
Is This Right For You?
Good fit if: you already own a Carl's Place HotShot base mat and the hitting zone has worn thin, or you want to switch turf feel (e.g. move from Standard to Gel Divot for a softer, more fairway-like strike). It's also a smart pickup for commercial bays running high daily swing counts, where the strip wears faster than the surrounding mat.
Not the right fit if: you don't already own a compatible HotShot base mat — this is a replacement insert, not a standalone mat, so it won't function on its own. It's also not for golfers who want a single continuous fairway-style hitting surface with no seam; the strip-and-base design is built for durability and swappability, not a seamless look.

What You'll Also Need
This hitting strip installs into an existing HotShot base mat — if you don't have one yet, start there. Beyond the mat, most builds pair it with:
- Carl's Place HotShot base mat — required; choose the size (4'x5', 4'x9', 5'x8', or 6'x10') that matches your bay footprint.
- Launch monitor — TrackMan, Uneekor, Foresight GC3, or Garmin R50 to capture data off the mat.
- Impact screen or enclosure — Carl's Place or SigPro enclosure paired with a HomeCourse ProScreen 180 to catch shots downrange.
- Rubber or wood tees — sized for the pre-punched tee holes on the Standard strip.
