Stand-up red light therapy equipment uses an upright booth; a lay-down bed supports the user in a horizontal position. The useful buying comparison is room fit, entry and exit, coverage layout and the documented equipment package. Format alone does not establish better wellness results.
In the Zenapura range, Versa, MaxiLUX and Professional are lying beds. Professional Stand-Up is an upright booth with one current Recovery configuration and 48,000 LEDs.
Compare footprint and height together
| Practical difference | Stand-Up | Lying beds |
|---|---|---|
| Equipment position | Upright booth | Horizontal bed and canopy |
| Listed length and width | 55.12 × 53.15 in | 76.38 × 33.86 to 89.57 × 48.62 in, depending on model |
| Listed height | 91.73 in | 32.28–44.29 in when closed |
| Configuration choices | Recovery, 48,000 LEDs | LED count and light configuration; model-specific finish or PEMF choices |
| Current price | $29,850 | $10,990–$25,390 |
Stand-Up has less listed length than the beds, but its width exceeds that of each lying model. Its equipment footprint is about 20.3 square feet, calculated from listed length and width. That is not a minimum room requirement: entry, operating and service space must be added.
A lying bed needs room to open and for a person to get on and off. Its closed height therefore cannot be used as the entire ceiling-clearance requirement. Obtain the model-specific opening clearance for either format.
Think through entry, exit and comfort
A standing configuration requires the user to remain upright for the prescribed use. A lying format involves getting onto and off a bed. Consider the people who will use the room and confirm the actual entrance, supports and access arrangements.
Do not label either format universally accessible. Physical suitability depends on the device and the individual. For medical questions or conditions affecting use, seek qualified guidance rather than relying on a sales comparison.
Compare the configuration you can actually order
The current Zenapura Stand-Up offers Recovery with 48,000 LEDs. The lying beds offer Recovery or Skin Care + Recovery, with two LED counts in each model. MaxiLUX also has black and white choices; Professional Bed offers optional PEMF.
Those are equipment differences, not evidence that adding wavelengths, LEDs or PEMF produces a better outcome for every user. Match the documented option to your intended setup and follow its operating instructions.
Power, freight and installation
Stand-Up and the larger lying systems list 220 V / 380 V configurations. Versa lists 110 V / 220 V. Confirm voltage, phase, circuit rating and connection for the exact unit with your electrician before ordering site work.
All four are made-to-order products with included curbside freight. Installation and white-glove delivery are excluded. The taller booth makes ceiling height and the delivery route especially important; request crate dimensions rather than assuming assembled measurements describe the shipment.
Which format should you shortlist?
Choose a standing shortlist when an upright experience is part of the project and the room can accommodate the height, width and entry clearance. Begin with Versa or MaxiLUX when you prefer a lying format; compare the Professional bed when side panels or optional PEMF are priorities.
Use the four-model comparison for the next decision. For a multi-unit facility, request a facility planning quote with room dimensions and quantities so access and utilities can be reviewed alongside the equipment.
