How Much Does a Hyperbaric Chamber Cost to Buy?

OxyAir OLV-RT01 soft-shell lying chamber

A hyperbaric chamber’s purchase price depends on its construction, seating layout and included equipment. In the current OxyAir range at SimWellness, soft-shell models are listed at $6,499–$9,499 and hard-shell models at $30,599–$84,999. These are equipment prices in US dollars, checked on October 22, 2026—not the cost of a treatment session or a universal market price range.

The useful comparison is the complete delivered setup: chamber, support equipment, freight, unloading, room preparation and ongoing service. Here is how to separate those costs before choosing a model.

OxyAir hyperbaric chamber prices by model

Advertised equipment prices, October 22, 2026 (USD)
Model Construction Layout Price
OLV-RT01 Soft-shell Lying $6,499
OLV-RZ01 Soft-shell Sitting $8,999
OLV-RZT01 Soft-shell Lying or sitting $9,499
OLV-YTD04 Hard-shell Lying $30,599
OLV-YTD03 Hard-shell Lying $35,999
OLV-YZD01 Hard-shell Sitting $59,999
OLV-YZM02 Hard-shell Two-person $84,999
OLV-RD02 Soft-shell Two-person $9,499

Prices can change. The hyperbaric chamber collection and linked product pages show the current advertised prices. Taxes, delivery scope and any project-specific services should be itemized in the final order.

Why do soft-shell and hard-shell prices differ?

Soft-shell chambers use a flexible enclosure supported by their frame and pressurization system. Hard-shell models have a rigid enclosure and a different structure, access arrangement and delivery footprint. A larger seated chamber also requires more material and space than a compact lying model.

Within this OxyAir range, the soft-shell models are supplier-rated to a maximum working pressure of 1.5 ATA, and the hard-shell models to 2.0 ATA. Those are model specifications, not a recommendation to use a particular pressure or evidence of a medical benefit.

For a practical comparison, read soft-shell vs hard-shell hyperbaric chambers.

What should the equipment price include?

Ask for the exact model number and an itemized equipment list. A low headline price is difficult to compare if the compressor, oxygen supply equipment, cooling equipment or required frame are priced separately.

OxyAir’s current soft-shell quotation specifies an air cooler and one metal frame, with internal or external frame selection. The exact support modules and layout vary by model. For example, a two-person seated model should be compared with another two-person package, rather than a single-person chamber with a lower price.

  • Chamber and access: enclosure, frame where applicable, entrance and supplied seating or lying arrangement.
  • Support equipment: the listed compressor, oxygen supply and cooling equipment for the selected model.
  • Operation and care: manuals, training arrangements, consumables and the replacement-parts process.
  • Delivery services: freight, unloading and positioning, with each responsibility identified.

Budget beyond the chamber

Freight, unloading and access

A delivered-to-address service is different from placing a large chamber inside a room. Doorways, stairs, turning space and lifting equipment can affect what is possible and what it costs. Rigid chambers need particular attention because their enclosure cannot be deflated for access.

Use the packed dimensions and weight for transport planning, then the installed dimensions and manufacturer’s clearances for the room layout. Do not treat the product’s width and length as the complete installation footprint.

Room preparation and electrical work

Allow space for the chamber, external modules, hoses, entry and servicing. Check the exact electrical and ventilation requirements in the model’s documentation. Any electrical work, access alterations or specialist installation should have its own written allowance.

Maintenance and support

Compare warranty coverage as well as duration: replacement parts, shipping, labor, travel and exclusions can be treated differently. Ask which consumables need replacing and what routine maintenance is specified. An annual running-cost estimate needs the actual equipment power ratings, use pattern, local electricity rate and maintenance schedule; a single generic figure would be misleading.

Which price point should you compare first?

For the lowest advertised entry price in this range, compare the OLV-RT01 lying soft-shell chamber at $6,499. If seated access is a priority, compare the OLV-RZ01 at $8,999 with the OLV-RZT01 lying-and-sitting model at $9,499.

For a rigid lying layout, the OLV-YTD04 is $30,599 and the new-generation OLV-YTD03 is $35,999. The hard-shell seated models sit higher in the range: OLV-YZD01 at $59,999 and two-person OLV-YZM02 at $84,999. Higher cost does not, by itself, make a model the right choice.

Common buying questions

Is this the same as the cost of hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

No. This guide covers buying equipment. Clinic session prices and treatment courses are a separate service and cannot be compared directly with a chamber’s purchase price.

Is the cheapest chamber the lowest-cost setup?

Not necessarily. Compare equivalent packages and the total delivered scope. A lower equipment price may be offset by separately charged modules, access work or support costs.

Does a listing establish suitability for home use?

No. Intended use, operating instructions and applicable requirements must be checked for the exact device. The FDA emphasizes following manufacturer instructions and appropriate training and fire-safety measures. This buying guide does not establish a model’s regulatory status or provide treatment advice.
