Short Throw Laser Built for Simulation
The AH700ST combines a short throw ratio with BenQ laser technology to deliver a bright, stable 1080p image in simulator rooms of all sizes. Its compact projection geometry fits cleanly above or behind the hitting area without interfering with play.
Reliable Performance, Zero Maintenance
With an IP5X dust-sealed laser rated to 20,000 hours, the AH700ST runs reliably without lamp replacements or image degradation. Flexible keystone and mounting options simplify installation regardless of your room layout.

Is This Right For You?
This projector is a strong fit if:
-
You're building a home or light-commercial sim room and want a fast, largely automated install without hiring an AV tech.
-
Your room has some ambient light — 4,000 lumens holds up better than budget short-throw units in a garage with a window or overhead lighting.
-
You want laser reliability over a bulb projector — no lamp replacements, consistent brightness over years of daily use.
It's probably not the right fit if:
-
You're on a tight budget and just need something functional — BenQ's entry short-throw models (AH30ST, AW30ST) cost less and still work for casual use.
-
You're running a high-volume commercial bay and want the absolute highest brightness for a large or wide screen — look at the higher-lumen BenQ LK/LH series instead.
-
You need a short throw unit that mounts flush to the floor near the hitting mat — the AH700ST's 0.69–0.83 throw ratio still needs several feet of ceiling or rear-mount clearance.
Room Size Guide
With its 0.69–0.83 short-throw ratio, the AH700ST is designed to sit close to the impact screen — typically ceiling-mounted a few feet in front of it rather than far back in the room. That makes it well suited to standard sim room dimensions:
-
Minimum recommended room: roughly 4.3m long x 3m wide x 2.7m high (14 ft x 10 ft x 9 ft), enough for full swing clearance plus screen and mat.
-
Comfortable build: 4.9–6m long x 3.4m wide (16–20 ft x 11 ft) gives extra follow-through and stance room, especially for taller golfers or driver swings.
The exact throw distance for your image size depends on your screen width — use BenQ's official throw distance calculator or call us at +1 (424) 600 9901 with your target screen size and we'll confirm the mount position before you buy.
What You'll Also Need
The AH700ST is a display component only — pair it with:
- Impact screen — an HD-weave golf simulator screen sized to your throw distance.
- Launch monitor — TrackMan, Uneekor, Foresight, Garmin, or another supported unit to capture ball and club data.
- Hitting mat — matched to your launch monitor's placement requirements.
- Projector mount — a ceiling or wall mount rated for short-throw offset positioning.
- Enclosure (optional) — a golf simulator enclosure if you're not installing directly into a dedicated room.
Will It Fit Your Room?
The BenQ AH700ST has a 0.69–0.83:1 throw ratio. Enter your throw distance and screen width to check the fit.
Throw distance is measured from the lens to the impact screen, not from the back wall.
